Report 2nd Annual Al-Mustafa Mawlid Peace Procession

To celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace & Blessings be upon Him),over 300 people gathered on Sunday 19th February 2012, to participate in a a Peace Procession that was held under the banner of Al-Mustafa Islamic Educational & Cultural Centre Ireland.

The participants arrived at 12:30pm in Al-Mustafa IECC and prayed the Zuhr Salah in congregation. After the Zuhr Salah instructions were given to the participants about the route for the Peace Procession. People of all ages from across Dublin attended the march to express their love and respect for the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and spread the message of peace and tolerance.

The organizers handed out beautifully painted placards with the Prophets name ‘Muhammad'(PBUH) written in Arabic, enveloped in a red heart. Once aligned on the main road, participants held up large banners with the message of peace and love and glad tidings in honor of the birth of our beloved Prophet (PBUH). Soothing sounds of Durood and beautiful nasheeds echoed in the streets of Dublin 15. The march was led by Shaykh Muhammad Umar Al-Qadri (Founder & Head Imam Al-Mustafa IECC), Shaykh Ghulam Dastagir (Imam in Cork Masjid), Sidi Abdul-Qadri (Imam Al-Mustafa IECC) and Syed Jawad Haider Shah.

Everyone was well aligned and grouped by the organizers, and as the march moved ahead, police escorts throughout the procession ensured clear and safe roads. Once all participants reached the final destination,the Peace March was concluded by a beautiful and heartfelt Dua led by Shaykh Muhammad Umar Al-Qadri.
